I hope Jayson Werth enjoys his 126 million dollars in the basement of the N-L East. On Sunday Werth signed a huge contract with the Nats. The 7 year deal makes Werth a very rich man but he will NEVER have a chance to win a title in DC. I understand getting paid for what you've done over the last few years but Werth was a piece of the Phillies success. You might list him as the 4th or 5th most valuable player on the Phils roster the last 3 to 4 years. Now he will be making the kind of money that Ryan Howard and Chase Utley get. If Werth was willing to play for a winner he would have taken a 4 year maybe 60 million dollar deal. I'm sure he would have been fine with 15 million dollars a year. The Nationals have 1 all star quality player in Ryan Zimmerman and play in the 2nd hardest division in baseball and should have been more prudent with their cash.
