O's woes

The Orioles season has not gotten off to a good start. The Orange and Black have lost several games due to bullpen implosions. The latest was last night when Mike Albers gave up a 3 run homer to Tampa's Carlos Pena in the top of the 10th to give the Rays an 8-6 win over the Birds.

The 1-7 start has a lot of fans and some media calling for Manager Dave Trembley's head. Right now I'm inclined to give Trembley the benefit of the doubt. The Birds young line-up has really struggled scoring runs. The hitting with runners in scoring position is really bad and that's not Trembley's fault. The pen, as previously stated, has been terrible. Closer Mike Gonzalez looks lost and I have never been a fan of last night's loser Matt Albers. Firing Trembley isn't going to change the hitting with runners in scoring position or the bullpen performance.

The one question I have for those who want to fire Trembley...who would you replace him with? FYI Earl Weaver isn't available.
