Green Jacket time

The Masters gets started today at Augusta National. This is the only major of the year played at the same site every year. This really limits which players really have a shot. About a quarter of the 96 player field is made of former champs who have no chance of winning the event. Guys like Tom Watson, Gary Player, Charles Coody, Fuzzy Zoeller and Ben Crenshaw are just getting in their 36 holes at the North Georgia gem and then will head home for the weekend. One former champ might have a shot that's Bernhard Langer. He has been dominating on the Champs tour and still have the length to compete at the nearly 75 hundred yard long Bobby Jones layout. The big question with Langer is his putter but the heavy rain of the last 2 weeks in the south have slowed the greens and could mean a darkhorse could win. No bikini wax here!

With the recent changes at the course you've seen par become a premium and that means many guys have a better chance. Come in hot and you could walk away with a 42 regular Green jacket.

Ok here are some of my picks. Tiger of course! I don't need to explain why Tiger might win...he's Tiger. My other picks Geoff Ogilvy. The Aussie has won twice this year and is playing very well with a 3rd in the wind at Houston this past week. Another guy who might make some noise is West Chester native Sean O'Hair. He has played well of late--except for on Sunday at Bay Hill--and played well last year at Augusta with a tied for 14th.

Fore!
