A Rod!!!!!

So A-Rod lied and cheated. 3 days after he was outed by Sports Illustrated the Yanks 3rd baseman admitted he he did take steroids from 2001 to 2003. Frankly I'm not that surprised that A-Rod took steroids in that time frame. Frankly most of the top players at the time were using performance enhancing drugs and A-Rod was just doing what everyone else did. My problem is when confronted--on several occasions--he denied that he took PED's. He was between a rock and a hard place...admit taking the drugs and face the fate of Mark McGwire or shut-up and hope the positive test from 2003 never surfaces. Now he is facing double jeopardy as a liar and a cheat!!!

A-Rod now becomes the face of steroids in baseball along with Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens. Both certain hall of famers who may never get into Copperstown. Was it worth it. All 3 of these guys are rich beyond most of our dreams but the one thing they don't have is the respect of the public and to me that is priceless.
