So far the BCS games have proved the point that a FBS Championship Tournament could be held for the top 8 teams in the country. The 3 BCS bowl games have been great contests. The Rose Bowl, won by #6 Oregon 45-38 over #9 Wisconsin, was a very entertaining game with both teams slugging it out until the very end. The Fiesta and Sugar Bowls have been won in overtime by #3 Oklahoma State and # 12 Michigan.
These first 3 games have been a pretty good argument for the NCAA going to an 8 team tournament, spread over 3 weeks, to crown the National Champion. Of course some seasons you will see some terrible match-ups but I think in the long run you get a true test of which is best team in the land.
Will be interesting to see how tonight's Orange Bowl between #23 West Virginia and #14 Clemson and the BCS Championship between #1 LSU and #2 Alabama play out.
