Ravens & Eagles fade to black

The Ravens and Eagles season came to a disappointing end yesterday with losses. The biggest question is the future. Where are these teams going. Both teams could lose their on field leaders. Their is a lot of sympathy in Philly to drive Donovan McNabb out of town. Without McNabb the Eagles season would have come to an end 3 weeks before it did. McNabb showed how talented a player he is by leading Philly to the NFC Title game. Eagles fans should be heaping blame for the loss to the Cardinals on the Greenbirds defense. They failed to stop Kurt Warner all day long. The future Hall of Famer threw for 4 touchdowns and led the Cards on a 14 play 72 yard game winning touchdown drive. Don't blame Donovan for that! Not his fault.

Ravens fans may have seen Ray Lewis for the last time--I kind of doubt it! Lewis is a free agent and could be heading out of town. After his resurgent season I expect him to get a nice going away present from Owner Steve Biscotti. Look for a nice 3 year deal with a big signing bonus. I doubt Lewis will play for 3 more seasons but don't put it past him. The Ravens 2nd ranked defense will be losing its evil leader Coordinator Rex Ryan. He is expected to be named the Jets head coach possibly later today. It will be interesting to see which assistant coaches head up I-95 to work with Ryan.

On to the Super Bowl. I really don't think the Cards have much of a chance of beating the Steelers in Tampa. This sentiment is similar to that before Super Bowl 42 between the Patriots and the Giants last year. How did that work out.
