Congrats

Not a bad 10 or so days for Susquehannock athletes. The girls Volleyball team lost to powerhouse Merion Mercy (ranked 25th in the U.S.) in the Double A Finals on Saturday afternoon at Central York. This Saturday the boys soccer team will face Pottsgrove in the Double A finals at Hersheypark Stadium at 2pm. Congratulations are in order for both these teams. Most schools would be thrilled to have 1 team a year make it to a state final...the Warriors have 2 in 1 season! Way to go.

The Ravens face the toughest test of their season as they travel to the Meadowlands on Sunday to face the defending Super Bowl Champion Giants. New York is 8-1 and looking like they are ready for another trip to the big game. However the Ravens come in having won 4 straight--3 on the road. The Purplebirds defense has been one of the best in the league all season but the offense is starting to pick things up on as well. They have scored 134 points in the winning streak--an average of over 33 points/game. The test this weekend will be dealing with the hard rushing Giants defensive line. The Ravens offensive line will face their toughest test in protecting QB Joe Flacco. The one good sign for Raven's fans is the G-men's lone loss was to the Browns. Hmmm...the Ravens won both their games from Cleveland this year. Should be an interesting game on Sunday in the Jersey Swamps.
