Favre Saga

I didn't think the Brett Favre saga would come to this. Yesterday the future Hall of Famer arrived in Green Bay to take a physical and report to the Packers training camp. I was sure that before he arrived in Northeast Wisconsin he would have been traded by the team. Now what do the Packers do. Lets put it this way I don't think Favre will be the starting QB for the Packers on the opening weekend of the NFL season. Yeah he might spend a week or 2 in camp but I have got to believe that somehow--some way the team will find a taker for Favre. He does have value especially to a team that is close to being a contender for the Super Bowl (read Vikings). Right now the Vikings hold all the cards...they don't have to offer much for Favre right now but I've got to believe as things get closer to the start of the regular season the Vikes might be convinced to part with say a 2nd and 3rd round draft pick for Favre. Both teams will be better off if a deal could be worked out for Favre to go to Minnesota. The Packers then have all the incentive they need to beat the Vikes both times this coming season. However all the predictions in this case have gone out the window with the unusual behavior of Favre.
