NFL Semifinals

So far the NFL playoffs have not been spectacular. 7 of the first 8 games were absolute dogs with only the Chargers-Jets game being decided in the final quarter. The results have left the top 2 teams in the NFC and the #1 seed in the AFC still alive for trips to the Super Bowl in Miami next month.

Lets look at the games. The AFC Title game in Indianapolis will see the Jets try and stop MVP Peyton Manning and the Colts. The irony of the game is in Week 16 the Jets beat the Colts 29-15 to end Indy's shot at an unbeaten season. Problem is the Colts rested most of their starters and certainly didn't give New York their "A" game. If the Colts had won the Jets wouldn't have even made the playoffs. All that being said I think the Colts do play all their starters and beat the Jets. Peyton Manning is other worldly this season.

In the NFC title game in NoLa the Saints will host the Vikings in what could be a classic game. Both teams have veteran quarterbacks who are playing at the top of their games. The one difference is the Vikings don't need Brett Favre to be heroic while the Saints need Drew Brees to be magical Sunday for a win.

So I've got the Super Bowl in Miami seeing a couple of Hall of Fame quarterbacks going head to head as Favre and the Vikes take on Manning and the Colts on February 7th.

Last week 1-3 Overall 59-40.
